Rev. Dick McFarlin, Woodward, OK, is a veteran of previous MMM trips and he preached and installed shallow wells.

Carol Nussbaumer, Loveland, Colorado, worked at the Embangweni School for the Hard of Hearing..  This was her third trip with MMM but her fifth trip to Malawi.

Again, this year the work went very well even though we had some vehicle problems, we rented one extra vehicle to keep 5 vehicles working in the field.  This year, the quality of the pump parts was much improved, but with our aggressive installation plans (over 700 wells done), we had some challenges getting all the parts where and when we wanted. Even with these challenges, we were able to install everything that was built on time.

The best understanding of the impact of the trip can be found in first hand accounts from some of the team members.
