Shallow Well Results for 2007

In 2007, MMM installed 1,456 wells in Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia, providing clean water to over 250,000 people. This brings the total wells installed since 1990 to over 7,117 wells.


2008 Gifts To Marion Medical Mission

100% of undesignated funds received will be used in Africa for Mission Projects we determine have the greatest need.

Purchase three new shallow well trucks. $114,000. ($77,000Funded)
Purchase 7 shallow well motorcycles. $35,000 ($30,555 Funded)
Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania, Konde Diocese. $5,250 (For monitoring the 2008 shallow well program).
Synod of Zambia, Church of Central Africa Presbyterian. $4,375 (For monitoring the 2008 shallow well program).
Synod of Nkhoma, Church of Central Africa Presbyterian. $4,375(For monitoring the 2008 shallow well program).
Capacity Building, Workshops and Training for Village Communities $116,450 ($75,025 Funded)
Licensing of Shallow Well Builders & Supervisors, $20,000 ($15,000 Funded)
Embangweni School for the Hard of Hearing. $4,025 (Electricity for 2 classrooms, $695; electricity for 2 dwelling houses, $1204; electricity for guardian shelter, $1077; transportation scholarships, $1,049 - $140 Funded)
Nsambo Full Primary School. $13,731.00 (Two teacher homes and 1 ventilated pit latrine).
Kamwabombo Full Primary School. $12,600 (Two teacher homes).
Kisindile/Kasoba Multi-Academic Primary School. $13,000. (Two teacher home or two-room school-block - $7.487 Funded).
Teacher Training & Workshops. $2,500
School supplies, books & uniforms . (t-shirts for students at Deaf School) $2,500 ($90 Funded)
Health & AIDS education program. $1,000.
Hospital Charity Fund. $5,000 for five mission hospitals (Embangweni, Ekwendeni, Livingstonia, Nkhoma, and Mulanji at $1,000 each).
Hospital Medicines. $5,000 for the purchase of pharmaceuticals for five mission hospitals (Embangweni, Ekwendeni, Livingstonia, Nkhoma, and Mulanji at $1,000 each).
Shipping freight cost. $2,500
Loudon Presbytery Projects Store Building. $2,000 (Funds will be used to build storage for all Loudon building projects).
Functionality Monitor, $20,000 (Hire full-time Field Officer to be responsible for monitoring well functionality & parts distribution centers).
Laptops for Field Officers, $10,000
