Working Hand-In-Hand with God's People

“So that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part  suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.”
1 Corinthians 12:25-26

"Waterborne diseases have been drastically reduced
because of this program."

Statement of Faith:

“I am a full member of the Presbyterian Church.”

Why I work with MMM:
It’s a Christian organization
It’s a fast-growing organization
The Field Officer’s input is requested, respected, and needed.
The Field Officer is allowed flexibility in getting the job done.
The Field Officer is capable of making friends through the installation period.
“Through working with MMM I have managed to construct a house of my dreams. The house has taken four years to be completed.”
Community Involvement & Personal Achievements as a Field Officer:
Helped in construction of two grain banks in Madede and Chimango.
Rehabilitated the 50 wells in Mtende.
Trained the first installation supervisors.
Initiated the construction of at least 700 wells.
What is the impact of the Shallow Well Program?
Diarrhea diseases have been drastically reduced in project areas. This has helped the community as people have more time to spend on development than nursing patients of water borne diseases.
Women walk shorter distances to draw water.
The program has taught skills to people in well maintenance.
Increased enrollment and class attendance in primary schools because children can draw water faster.
What is the Future of the Shallow Well Program and why is your support so important?
Ensure sustainability of maintenance program.
Further improve the construction process of the wells for an even higher quality, more durable product.
Improve further the mark five pump so that its parts are strong, easily made, and easily maintained.
Construct more shallow wells in areas where the pump can work with out problems, i.e. where the water table is good for the program.
Venture into other types of pumps that can be used in drier areas so that all people are helped in having clean, protected water.
Future needs include:
Yearly courses for village team members to ensure they efficiently carry out their activities, such as repairing and maintaining the wells in their area..
Yearly surveys to verify the functionality of the wells.
Refresher courses for FOs in community development.
Continue raising funds for new wells and capacity building.

How you can help:

Adopt a Field Officer: $10,000/year (this includes salary, fuel, food & lodging while working in the rural areas)
Pray for the Field Officers and the Shallow Well Program.
Tell others about MMM and its programs.

Mr. Banda has already been 'adopted' but other field officers are still available.
